Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Cancer is a vile horrible disease that has affected the lives of many people I know, including members of my family and close friends. Last year I lost two people to different cancers who were important to me, Ghyll who was a well respected member of the Druid community, a friend to my Order and a mentor to me in my role as a Guardian of the Order and Gatekeeper and Sam who was a very dear friend and twin sister to a colleague from my old job. She left behind two children, a husband and a family who miss her terribly, she never got to meet her then unborn nephew. Having those two people taken from my life so early made me want to do something to support some of the many charities who do so much to support the patients and families going through cancer and when I saw this 26 mile trek between Stonehenge and Avebury I knew it would be a fitting tribute to Ghyll who loved both circles and spent much of his time there, (his ashes later being spread at Avebury) and Sam who always loved the outdoors.
I will be hiring a GoPro camera from Uni to document my walk so you can all join in my experience and I would be really appreciative of any support you could give me on this trek, even if it was just £1!
