Story

Hello All,

started a journey to finish something I started back in 1985. I wanted to complete my studies from Southeastern Bible College in Lakeland, FL. It had been nearly 28 years since I completed my Freshman year at SEU. Living in Tennessee, married with two teenage children, going back to Florida was not an option. That is when a friend introduced me to Nation2Nation University through WIN Ministries. I began in 2012 working online to complete an Associates Degree in Biblical Studies and Ministry. Feeling accomplished, I though that was the end of my journey, but a few months later, I was compelled by the Lord to continue on and complete my Bachelor’s Degree. PHEW! That was tough, but at least I was DONE now in my educational journey. So I thought. After a couple years went by, an opportunity to go back and earn my Master’s Degree presented itself and I will graduate in December of 2022!! It was through N2N and WIN Ministries through discussion with staff members like Dale Donnelly, Braedon Baker and President Brick Cliff that I was made aware of the struggles and circumstances surrounding the Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya near the border of South Sudan.

Kakuma
(Kah-coo’-mah) Refugee Camp was established in 1992 near Kenya's border with South Sudan. It was a place of refuge for unaccompanied minors fleeing warring factions in what was then southern Sudan. Today, Kakuma Refugee Camp has more than 225,000 refugees from nine countries including South Sudan, Sudan, Somalia, Rwanda and Burundi. It is estimated that more than 50 percent of refugees are youth and children (ReliefWeb, 2022).

Right
now there are refugees who strongly desire to take the ministry and community development courses offered in the camp by Nation-2-Nation Christian University. All they need is $10 each for each student to cover the costs of the books that accompany the program. We have 50 students for 5 semesters, which puts our goal at $3,850.

In
the past, attending a school like this seemed to be an impossible dream. But now, the opportunity is there. With this training, their desire is to return to their countries, and reach into their communities, and rebuild what was destroyed by civil war and strife. They have a God- given vision to transform thousands of lives, reach the people for Christ, and use the community development training to lead their people out of poverty and disease.

So
can we achieve this together! With a desire in our hearts for change, any donation amount toward the goal of $3,850, will be helpful, and also sharing this worthy project in social media, e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc, will make a real difference. Thank you so much for your passion!

God
bless,
