Having suffered with Ulcerative Colitis since I was 16 years old (40 this year so been a while!), I have had many a flare up over the years but I had a really severe one last year and it reminded me how debilitating it is. This time last year I couldn't even walk my dog so this year as I am now better, I thought I would go on a really long walk (!) to raise awareness of this disease and hopefully raise some cash for continued research whilst supporting the great work they do already.

Crohn's & Colitis UK are the UK's leading charity for Crohn's and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of.
