Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page

The 2021 Football 2 Amsterdam ride was eventually postponed due to Covid and unfortunately the new date for this year that has now been announced means I am unable to participate due to a family commitment. Not to be beaten and to even step up my efforts a level I have entered 2 events to raise money for Prostate Cancer UK in 2022.

On May 29th I’ll be cycling in the RideLondon- Essex 100 a 100 mile ride starting on Victoria Embankment continuing through London and the Essex countryside eventually finishing on Tower Bridge.

Then on July 2nd I’ll be riding in The Grand Depart Classic – the first stage of the Tour de France, riding 125 miles in a single day just one day before the professionals in Copenhagen.

Two days in the saddle with rides of 100 miles or more will certainly be a challenge but one I am already training for and committed to raise as much money as I can for Prostate Cancer UK.

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men. It is a disease which kills one man every 45 minutes – that’s two men during a football match.

Having friends that have been directly affected by this disease I am determined to use my love of cycling to raise money for this great cause.

I know that these are difficult times and there are numerous demands on people's finances but I ask you to please try and make a donation.

Thanks you on behalf or Prostate Cancer UK
