Edinburgh Marathon Festival Full Marathon 2018 · 27 May 2018 ·
Primrose Hospice has helped a family very close to our hearts following the sudden death of Hannah May Taylor (21 years old) on 15th February 2017.
I recently sat in the reception area of the hospice waiting for my friend. Whilst sitting there I learnt that the Primrose Hospice not only help people at end of life and through their last days but they also offer an incredible support service to the grieving families left behind. Part of the service they provide is intense one to one counselling, complimentary therapies and camps. These camps are tailored for children and adults who have suffered terrible losses, in the hope that they can help them start to heal and smile again. This is all provided free. The counsellors and therapists are volunteers and work this around their normal life and day to day work. This hospice and the people there inspired me to want to give back.
There is a group of miscreants from work who have decided to run (walk) in the Edinburgh Marathon and Half Marathon.
We never know when any of us are going to need a service like this. This Hospice has been a genuine lifeline for our friends and their family. Please help us raise money to give a little something back.
