Story
Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.
WE ONLY WENT AND DID IT!!!!!!
We are all broken, beaten and sore today, but we are all so proud to have completed the challenge and boy was it a CHALLENGE. Through blisters, sprains, chafing, more blisters, headaches, sore knees, even more blisters and swollen hands we made it to the finish, our time was 23 hours and 44mins! yes that's right 23 hours and 44 mins WALKING!!!!
The four of us couldn't have done it without the help of amazing and good looking support crew Bob and Will. Soup and rolls just when we needed them, patching up blisters and strapping up ankles! AWESOME JOB. Thanks guys.
And a massive thank you to the organisers, the Gurkhas, the support staff, the food guys and the amazing people who welcomed us to each and every checkpoint it was such and amazing lift every time we reached one!
We would like to say a massive thank you to all who have sponsored us and contributed to our mind boggling total so far! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
TISBURY TROTTERS, the ultimate yomping team, Alan Britten, Julian Spiller, Jamie Wardle and Tim Austin, supported by Becky Britten and Steve Purchase have signed up to Trek 100km across the South Downs in under 30 hours to help end poverty with every step. The four of us have signed up to walk 100km for Oxfam. WHY? Because we are a little MAD and want to help out. You can read all about the great things Oxfam do below but for now, just know, 100KM is far...... very far....... and we will need incentive to get to the finish line. your money will be a great help, to us....... and Oxfam.
Trailwalker is a team endurance event. The challenge is to walk, jog or run 100km non-stop across the South Downs Way in under 30 hours in a team of four, with a support crew of two members to help you get to the finish line.
Trailwalker UK supports the incredible work of both Oxfam Great Britain and The Gurkha Welfare Trust.
