Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I’m pretty sure that all of my friends know my situation with my prostate cancer but just to refresh everyone’s memory, I have localised aggressive prostate cancer with a Gleason scale of 9, out of a maximum of 10. Since my last effort at Great Weston Ride in 2018, I have been on hormone therapy for around 12 months and have had Radiotherapy over a 5 week period, this greatly affects my muscles and energy. For my day-to-day riding I have had to purchase an electrically assisted bike, but for the Great Weston Ride I will be riding a standard road bike. I intend to leave home at 6AM and cycle the 24 miles to the start, at Ashton Gate, Bristol, then set off on the 57 miles to Weston Super Mare after a 30 minute rest and recharging with coffee and a slice of cake! So if you are thinking of sponsoring me I can tell you that this years ride is going to take a lot of effort and I will finish it to justify your support. Even if you can’t manage to support me just reading this means that you know me from years gone by and are willing me on mentally and for that I thank you very much
