Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
H&K Cycle Club, with your support has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for good causes all over the world through our annual 3 Cities Challenge over the years.
Our team of 26 cyclists will continue from where we ended last year in Sarajevo, Bosnia and cycle through Nis in Serbia, finishing the ride in Sofia in Bulgaria. That's over 350 miles over 3 consecutive days!
This year, H&Kcc are supporting the Bangladesh Health Development Initiative (BHDI).
BHDI are a collective of doctors, healthcare professionals and volunteers from the United Kingdom who have come together to address the medical needs of the most vulnerable people in Bangladesh.
Cataracts are the leading cause of reversible blindness worldwide. We aim to provide life changing cataract surgery in Bangladesh through BHDI. A cataract is a medical condition in which the lens of the eye becomes progressively opaque, resulting in blurred vision. Surgery replaces the defective lens with an artificial lens, thereby restoring the vision of the patient.
For just £50 we can provide cataract surgery to a patient in Bangladesh, including pre-operative assessment and post-operative care with provision of spectacles if needed.
This project is Zakat & Sadaqah applicable. 100% donation policy.
Please note, all personal costs relating to flights, accommodation, food and drinks are covered by each rider. The charity will provide a team hoodie, and possibly contribute to the cost of the medal.
