Gift of Knowledge (GOK) operates a scholarship program in Bangladesh, awarding scholarship to talented but poverty stricken children of primary, secondary schools and madrasas. Many students are unable to go through education because of poverty and work instead, GOK intend to continue supporting the seekers of knowledge in the hope that they will one day give back to the community for the greater good. GOK's scholarship programme is open to all in any rural area in Bangladesh. The Prophet (PBUH) taught us that "God, His Angels, and all those in the heavens and on Earth, even ants in their hills and fish in the water, call down blessings on those who instruct others in beneficial knowledge" (Al Tirmidhi) Every time someone reads a letter from the Quran you will be rewarded because you enabled that individual to learn, SubhanAllah. Imagine if that individual then became a hafiz, reward upon reward!
