Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit AJ's Journey JustGiving page.

Our son, Ashton John McPhee was born on the 22nd of April at 23 weeks gestation, weighing 1lb 4oz. Since his 17 week early arrivial he has continualy and bravely defied the odds.  Ashton's strength and determination amazes us everyday but without the dedication of the medical staff caring for him, he wouldnt be here. Ashton is being cared for at the Southern General Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and he also spent the week at Yorkhill Children's Hospital where he had heart surgery when he was just 3 weeks old.

Ashton still has a long journey ahead of him but while he is on it we would love to raise awareness of the amazing work these two neonatal units do and give something back to help our son and his friends in these Neonatal Units.

As discussed with the Yorkhill fund raising department - all funds raised through AJ's Journey will be soley be for Neonatal use in Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
