Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 5th November 2013 my friend & colleague Rob Mackay & his wife Lorraine Mackay lost their beautiful baby daughter Isabelle who was born at home on the 20th August 2013.
Unbeknowing to her family Isabelle was born with a congenital heart defect and at only 4 days old she fell ill and was rushed to Alder Hey Hospital where she spent 3 weeks on Ward K2 growing big enough for her first operation. On the 17th September Isabelle had a BT Shunt operation but shortly after she had a cardiac arrest, several more cardiac arrests followed, but Isabelle fought to stay with her family. Isabelle was very poorly but gave her family moments of joy when she was awake, looking into their eyes and holding their fingers with her tiny hands.
Unfortunately Isabelle sadly developed a severe respiratory problem and could no longer breathe for herself. She fell asleep in her mummy's arms.
Rob and Lorraine have nothing but respect and admiration for the amazing surgeons, doctors and nurses in the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit at Alder Hey and I hope to raise as much money as possible to add to generous donations already made to assist with saving other sick children.
