Story

Many of us have “climbing a mountain” on our list of things to do before we die, I am aiming to complete this challenge over the next couple of months. I will be climbing not one but four mountains, and all in aid of charity.

In June I will take part in the 3 Peaks Challenge, where I will attempt to scale 3 of Britain’s toughest mountain challenges in just 24 hours.

First up is Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the U.K. with the summit a staggering 4,409ft above sea level. Then it’s on to Scafell Pike which is the highest Fell in England (what an unfortunate term for something you climb) and then on to Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales with a summit of a mere 3,560ft.

All of these will pale into insignificance when just a few short weeks later I am taking on the mighty Mont Blanc in France which, at a staggering 15,782ft above sea level is higher than the first three put together.

I am hoping the fitness levels I have maintained since being a National athlete from the age of 9 will aid me in my quest. I am currently General Manager for Slim Jims Health Club in the City, we support Breast Cancer Care as our Charity, therefore it made perfect sense whilst completing this personal challenge to also raise money for the Charity.

Please donate generously for such a great cause.

Thank You.

Amanda
