Story
I am excited to announce that I will be taking part in the 3 Peaks Challenge on June 9th-11th with NewDay. The challenge consists of climbing the three tallest mountains in the UK in less than 24 hours, and I am doing it to raise money for the Family Action charity.
The challenge consists of climbing the three tallest mountains in the UK in less than 24 hours, covering:
- 🏃♂️ a walking distance of 37km,
- 🧗♂️ an ascent of 3064m,
- 🚌 a driving distance of 743km.
⛰ The 3 mountains are Ben Nevis in Scotland (1345m), Scafell Pike in England (978m), and Snowdon in Wales (1085m). An overview of the logistics can be found here: https://www.charitychallenge.com/expedition/3780/
I am setting an ambitious goal to raise £1000 for this worthy cause. Family Action transforms lives by providing practical, emotional and financial support to those who are experiencing poverty, disadvantage and social isolation across the country. They have been building stronger families since 1869, and today work with over 60,000 families through over 160 community-based services. Thousands more are supported with financial assistance through education and welfare grants programmes. Their work is vital, and I believe that together, we can make a difference in the lives of many families.
Our innovative services at NewDay reach out to those in need, we strengthen families and communities, build skills and resilience and improve the life chances of children and adults. With your help we can continue to support those that need it most.
Support Team NewDay as we tackle the iconic National 3 Peaks Challenge while raising money for Family Action. Each of us (28 total) has pledged to raise £1,000 each to support families and communities across the UK. I would be extremely grateful if you could support us in this challenge by making a donation. Every little bit helps, and your contribution will go directly to Family Action to support their work.
Cheers,
Adam
