Story
Here’s the inspirational story…. Ben Saunders was a remarkable young student from St Gregory’s College in Bath who died of a rare form of cancer 2 years ago. While he was ill he had the selfless vision to set up a charitable foundation to support children and young adults with cancer to enable them to have a holiday with their loved ones either before, during or after their treatments. To date there are now three wonderful retreat homes that provide welcome respite to families during such difficult challenges of cancer diagnosis and treatments. Every penny raised goes to help Ben’s family and supporters to keep his Foundation thriving.

Now here’s the sob story… I’m a non runner, training with my 9th cardiac pacemaker, which by the way is on its last legs and needs replacing any minute. I have a dodgy heart valve and a 13cm heart bypass as well as a few bits of pacing wire left in me by mistake!
I hope Ben’s story will inspire you to donate to his wonderful cause as he inspired me to start running, and that my dodgy heart sob story might just make you give a few more pennies!
Thanks so much 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
