Story

Can you imagine the horrific moment of waking up and finding your baby dead in their cot? I hope it never happens to you, but it happens to six babies a week in the United Kingdom. Last month my beautiful six week old baby niece Briony Rose Brummitt died of 'Sudden Infant Death Syndrome' or 'Cot death' and my family have seen first hand the devastation a baby's death can cause.

It's tragic, and the Foundation for Study of Infant Deaths http://fsid.org.uk/page.aspx?pid=191 provides vital research into the causes and prevention of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

For a donation of £6 I will draw you a picture and link you to the finished drawing. I'm by no means a professional artist, I'm a 20 year old autistic girl who just wants to raise awareness and money for a good cause.

Guidelines for requests:
You MUST provide a clear high quality reference photo (high quality or professional photoshoots produce much better quality drawings) if you want me to draw a celebrity I can google image them to get a good quality photo. A poor quality photo (for example small, blurry, phone or webcam photos) may be rejected on basis that it will be difficult to draw from. The less people in a picture, the better detail I can capture.

The picture can be of you, a loved one or a celebrity. (I have never drawn an animal... I don't know if I can, but I'd be willing to try)

You do not have to donate until you have received the link to your drawing but once you've received the link PLEASE donate £6 it goes straight to FSID http://fsid.org.uk/page.aspx?pid=191 (if you want the paper copy of your drawing you will have to collect it in person (for those who live near me) or pay the postage separately.)

Be patient. Depending on how many requests I get I may have a lot of drawing to do, it takes me on average 2-4 days to draw a portrait and they will be seen to on a first come first served basis.

Email requests and reference pictures to me directly at  redcrystalmoment@aol.com I will try and respond as soon as possible and try to stay in touch throughout the drawing process.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page created in memory of Briony Rose.
For all the babies who've left us in their sleep, for all the parents who wake up to find them, and for all the babies yet to be born who need our awareness, their research and the chance to grow up, let's do our bit to help.

(Of course if you want to donate and don't want a picture or want to pay more than the £6 recommended donation feel free to, thank you :) )
