Olive tree challenge · 20 April 2020 ·
This Ramadan, Im fundraising for the Palestine Olive Tree Challenge because every day Palestinian people are suffering from poverty and occupation, and we need to help. Through years of conflict and occupation, over 2 million Palestinian olive trees have been uprooted and destroyed. Olive trees are a bountiful blessing for the people of Palestine, and a vital source of income for poor farmers. The fruit they bear provides Sunnah food and the Prophet (saw) himself said: eat the olive and use it as an ointment as it comes from a blessed tree (Tirmidhi). The Palestine Olive Tree Challenge is raising funds to plant 3,000 olive trees in the Jordan Valley, Jenin, Salfeet, Jerusalem, Hebron and Tulkarem to improve the lives of poor Palestinian farmers and their families. A little olive tree seedling has the power to change lives - Big things really do come in small packages, Alhamdulillah! Even a simple donation could help me reach my fundraising goal to plant 3,000 olive trees.
