Story
The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the three highest peaks in England, Wales and Scotland within a 24 hour time limit. The mountains climbed, in order of elevation, are Ben Nevis in Western Scotland, 1,344 mtrs (4,409 ft), Snowdon in North Wales, 1,085 mtrs (3,560 ft), and Scafell Pike in North-Western England, 978 mtrs (3,209 ft). We will be starting at the foot of Ben Nevis at around 10am on the 18th May and hoping to be back down Snowdon for 10am on the 19th. Along with the 26 miles walk we will also be driving approx 550 miles between each peak.
I am doing this challenge with a group of friends and the charity I have chosen is PIPS, this charity is very close to my heart and is in memory of a very special young man Dee McCartan a family friend who is truly missed.
PIPS is a suicide and self harm support group in need of financial support to continue to carry out their very important and extremely necessary work within our local communities.
This charity does great work providing support for those people and families that are affected by suicide. We are trying to raise awareness for the charity to help prevent suicide and provide help for those who need it most
