Story
I am setting myself a challenge (for me it will be) to walk 500,008 steps in 5 or so weeks and raise funds for St Cuthbert's Hospice, in memory of my childhood friend Sophie Louise Ramshaw. I will hopefully visit some nice spots around the north of England & accumulate the steps to conclude on early September time.
Sophie was born the day after me & lost her life to breast cancer in 2018 at the age of 27. I would love to raise some money for the hospice that provided excellent care for Sophie and so many others in the final stages of their lives.
The numbers end in 8 as that was Sophie's Birthday & her lucky number.
St Cuthbert’s Hospice provides specialist care to people with life-limiting illnesses, people approaching the end of life and the bereaved. They make no charge for services, ensuring Hospice care is available to everyone. It costs over £2 million each year to keep St Cuthbert's Hospice running.
Please support me in raising as big or as little for such a great cause and in memory of Sophie.
