Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As many of you know in 2016 we lost a true legend and my hero, my Granda. Anyone who met him knew what an incredible gentleman he was. Always giving a helping hand whether that be baking someone a cake or re-wiring their whole house... He was one of a kind and was a huge part of all of our lives. He lived life to the full! Traveling all over the world including a trip to Australia every year. Even up until he was diagnosed with Cancer he still played golf 3 times a week! It was a huge shock when he was diagnosed and everything happened extremely quickly.. The Macmillan nurses were incredible during his last few weeks, always bringing a smile and positive energy every time they walked into the house and most importantly giving my Granda exceptional care. Running the Great North Run and raising money for Macmillan Cancer is my way of saying Thank You for helping us during an unbelievably difficult time and giving back to them.
My Granda's HUGE and infectious smile will be keeping me going when I take on the challenge of 13.1 miles of running in my beloved North East. If you can donate please please do it really is an amazing cause. Everyone is affected by Cancer somehow and Macmillan are always there to help through the hard times.
If you donate to my page please add a song to my Great North Run Spotify Playlist for me to run too! https://open.spotify.com/user/112256575/playlist/7bDSbXWz7pis6XBsQIfged?si=v11oUzjGT2GdpMROoYDevQ
