Story
The Tough Mudder, for those of you who don’t know, is 25 obstacles set over a 10 miles course and I’ll be attempting it on the 7th of September.
Even though it looks like complete hell (check out the website if you don’t believe me, www.toughmudder.co.uk, one of the obstacles is wires charged with 10,000 volts... no, really), and I’m going to be battered, broken and bruised after it, I know I’m fighting for an amazing cause.
Cancer is an ugly, horrible disease that takes too many lives far too early. Cancer Research UK are fighting back so that one day everyone, young and old, won’t have to face the prospect of losing a loved one to such an awful illness. And if I have to get electrocuted to help that happen then so be it.
I’ll be blogging bit and pieces about how I'm getting on at www.honoraryscouse.wordpress.com and despite the fact that at the start my training I couldn't do a single press up, I promise to give it my all so that one day we’ll finally be able to give cancer the boot, or at least the good kicking it deserves.
