Story
We have decided to take part in a 24 hour gaming challenge to raise money for Meningitis Now. We will both play games on the XBox One for 24 hours each, one day after the other over the bank holiday weekend in March. We have decided to do this as it is different to the normal events we've done so far for charity and we hope to encourage other people to take part as well whether it's over the same weekend or another time.
We will have only two hours of breaks in total (spread over the 24 hours) and only be able to play a total of three games, and once you've chosen to switch from one game to the next you can't go back to the first.
We have chosen to raise money for Meningitis Now which is a charity close to our heart. At three days old our son was rushed in to A&E with a suspected infection, when we were there they did various blood tests and then a lumbar puncture and he was kept in the Neonatal Unit where he was eventually diagnosed with meningitis. It was the scariest time of our lives and naturally we feared the worst. We are so lucky to still have our beautiful boy with us and are lucky that he has no obvious side effects although we know that there could be problems and complications in the future. Meningitis Now is an amazing charity and the largest charity in the UK that raises money to fund research in to cures and medicine for meningitis and supports families who have lost loved ones or been left disabled by meningitis. So we really appreciate any donations you'd like to make or any shares of our page.
