Aimee Louis Puttick is raising money for Plymouth Hospital Charity
Story
On the 6th of November, my friends and I are planning on doing a virtual cycle (26 miles) to raise money for The Gold Dust Appeal, which is a local charity based at Derriford Hospital, that is trying to redecorate the 12th floor of the Hospital (Childrens Ward) to make their stay less daunting and more enjoyable. Their goal is to be able to care for children by providing a calm, reassuring environment; to engage them with colourful, themed areas that distract them from clinical procedures and to provide greater comfort and privacy for children and their families.
Also through-out the year, we are organising many more fundraisers, such as a dance-athon, swim-athon, hair donation and an abseil, from which all of the proceedings will go to The Gold Dust Appeal.
