Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.
This October I will be running the London Marathon to raise money for Target Ovarian.
Unfortunately our family have recently become more aware of Ovarian Cancer with my mum being diagnosed in November 2021. This was only discovered by chance following a scan for a suspected kidney stone after a trip my family made to London to visit me. Since then mum has had major surgery and is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
These past few months have been tough but mums strength and positive attitude throughout have been incredible. Therefore, I am going to be running the London Marathon on the 2nd October as a small gesture to show how proud I am of her and to raise money for such an important cause. The long hours of training and the marathon itself will be no match for what my mum has endured and she says she will be there with all of the family to celebrate together when I cross the finish line.
Target Ovarian Cancer is the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity. Early diagnosis gives patients a much better chance and Target Ovarian works to improve early diagnosis, fund life-saving research and provide much-needed support to women with ovarian cancer.
My mum continues to inspire me everyday and running this marathon is really special to me. Any donations would be hugely appreciated and will help the fight against ovarian cancer.
Thanks so much.
