Aimee's 10 miles on exercise bike

10 miles on exercise bike · 16 September 2018
As a lot of you know i not the most fitness person so this will be a massive achievement (the last time i was on a bike i was about 12). I will be cycling 10 miles to help raise money so we can reach the £25,000 that my beautiful niece Millie needs to get the SDR operation that she deserves. When I asked Millie how many Millie's she would like me to do she said 8 but I thought why not do 10 miles. I will be doing this at Millie's family fun day at Jollies in Stoke if you want to come along to support a fantastic cause.
Millie is aged 8 from Stoke on Trent. She was born 12 weeks early weighing just over a bag of sugar. Millie was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at six weeks old. Her four limbs are affected, particularly her legs resulting in her not being able to walk, sit, nor stand independently.
The hospital told us Millie’s chances of walking, sitting, talking and eating were very low, but with sheer dedication and love she is now a very fiesty, intelligent and funny 8 year old.
Millie craves for a pain free independent life which this operation will massively help. £25,000 is needed for the surgery and post operative intense physiotherapy.
Millie never stops to amaze us with her positive smiley outlook on life but there is the other side to Millie who gets very embarrassed and frustrated about being in her wheelchair and cries in the night for us to turn her and get her comfortable.
Please, please no matter how little you can spare SDR would mean the world to Millie and her family.
