This summer I will be volunteering for 11 weeks on an international placement in Zambia run by Restless Development. Whilst out there I shall be working on non-formal education programmes focused on sexual health and the livelihoods of the people of Zambia. 

Zambia has an extremely high level of poverty, with young people being hit the hardest. Restless Development works with young people to help them build sustainable livelihoods, through methods such as developing basic skills allowing them to start their own enterprises. 

Alongside this Zambia is one of the countries worst affected by HIV and AIDS. There is limited access to sexual health services and education, which is now what Restless Development provides. In total since 2004 Restless Development has run 45,000 sexual health and life skills lessons providing support and enabling change within Zambia.
