Story

I am running the Cardiff half marathon on 2nd October to raise money and awareness for the Brain Injury Service (YB39) so please dig deep and donate anything you can!

In December last year, a very close friend was injured in a car accident where she sustained multiple injuries, the most serious being the trauma to her brain (TBI). Thankfully, she has made an amazing recovery and continues to make progress with the support of the Brain Injury Service at Morriston hospital. This service provides treatment, support and rehabilitation for those with brain injuries as well as family members who have been affected.  I have witnessed first hand the challenges and struggles a TBI can have on individuals and also the courage and strength it takes to over-come it. I want to not only raise money but show support for those dealing with a traumatic brain injury and the impact it can have on their life and well-being.

Thanks so much!!

Aimee
