Leeds 10k in honor of my dad.
Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
Fundraising for Macmillan Cancer Support
On Sunday July 4th I will be running Leeds 10k in memory of my dad - Paul, who I lost to cancer 16/2/10, aged 69.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated - to help fight towards helping other families who are currently being affected by cancer and showing our support, and help. Everyones situation and experiences are different and the fact we can all join together to do something , is such a great thing.
All money donated goes towards both emotional support and equipment, as well as giving people hope and uniting people together. Something which is so very important. And most of all doing your bit towards standing up to Cancer.
I'ts also a way of keeping my dads memory alive, and celebrating his life and personal fight, - as well as all the other people who have lost someone - family ,friends ,or who have been affected in some way, who will be running the 10k. As well as showing our respect to the people who have managed to fight and survive Cancer.
I have actually being training and now with just over 6 weeks to go I have a full training schedual - I shall even be taking my trainers to Berlin for one of the weeks! I really hope to do it in a good time for the sense of achievement and so far things are looking good....I am off to go for a run on Bridlington beach in few hours today!
Thanks for all your support - any donations however small are very much appreciated!
