We are fighting to make a world where diabetes does no harm

Story

My brother Eamonn died very suddenly on Christmas Eve as a result of a diabetic coma.  Eamonn was just 36 years old and had been diagnosed with type 1 diabetes less than two years earlier.

As a way of remembering him I am going to run the Lisburn 10k Road Race on 15th June 2011 for Diabetes UK Northern Ireland branch.  Any money raised will remain in Northern Ireland.

Diabetes UK Northern Ireland provides support to the 70,000 people in NI who are diagnosed with diabates and they also help raise awareness for the thousands of people in NI yet to be diagnosed.

Donating through JustGiving is quick, fast and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Diabetes UK gets your money faster, and if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement is added to your donation.

I would really appreciate any sponsorship you can give.
