Hi I'm Aila-Mae Ford I am 7 years Old and I have been growing my hair to be like Rapunzel all my life! The most I have ever had cut off is about an inch when my parents have forced me to have a trim.

Sadly my lovely Grandma Viv died from cancer in march this year and I miss her very much! Since this happened I have found out more about the disease she had - Cancer and I have found out that it can affect children too. This also made me feel very sad and I wanted to do something to help. My mummy found out that there is a charity that makes wigs for little girls and boys that have cancer and have lost all their hair because of the medicine they have to have to try and make them better.

I have decided to have all my hair chopped off (to my shoulders from my bottom) to send to the charity but would also like to raise some money to help make even more wigs as each wig costs around £2000 to make if they don't get enough donated hair. My first goal is to send them £500 and my pony tail and I think my grandma would be proud of me
