The day I attempt my challenge will be exactly 6 years since I lost my dad, Peter McGee. My dad suffered from Multiple Myeloma a form of blood cancer after being diagnosed back in February 2001. St Cuthbert's provided end of life care for my dad and were a great support to our family at that difficult time. I have chosen to raise money for St Cuthbert’s Hospice as they provide specialist care to people with life-limiting illnesses, people approaching the end of life and the bereaved. It costs over £2 million each year to keep St Cuthbert's Hospice running.
