Story
One of the actors in the company I am performing in (Clara Francis and her partner Jason Watkins) lost their child Maud to sepsis. She would have turned 13 this week had her condition been properly diagnosed. When my youngest boy was a few weeks old, we had a week long nightmare in the hospital while he battled an infection of some sort that they classified as sepsis. There was a point I thought he would just let go and leave us. Thankfully that never came to pass. But I had been given a glimpse of what might have happened if he had gone. The charity I’m running for is to give support to those parents for who the worst imaginable case did happen.
SLOW is a London based charity run by bereaved parents providing support for bereaved parents and their surviving children. Bereaved parent members say their support groups are a lifeline, giving them the chance to connect and share their experiences with other bereaved parents.Donating to SLOW enables the charity to continue supporting bereaved parents who have suffered the devastating loss of a child.
I will be one of the slowest finishers on the day as I volunteered last minute but any donation towards this charity would be greatly appreciated Xxx
