In Memory of Shirley
Fundraising for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity
Fundraising for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity
I will be running The London Landmarks Half Marathon on 2nd April 2023 on what would have been my beautiful sister, Shirley's 59th birthday.
I miss Shirley, as does everyone. Every time I hear, see, or think of something that makes me laugh, I always picture Shirley laughing too, which keeps her alive in my heart.
Because Shirley kept her illness private, what the Marsden did for her is best described by her husband Tony - over to you Tony!
"The Royal Marsden Hospital is an extraordinary place - a place where everyone who is a patient is facing up to the terrifying fact that they have cancer. But it is not a sad place, it is a place of hope, a place of comfort and a place of care. The skill of the staff is surpassed only by their kindness and compassion. We, like so many others, spent a lot of time at the hospital and we would like to do what we can to help them provide the services they do to as many people as possible."
If you can make a donation in Shirley's memory, it will be much appreciated, and it will be going to a great cause.
Thanks
