Story

In 2004 twenty Young women who had been diagnosed with breast cancer challenged themselves to a 1,000 mile ride on Harley-Davidson motorcycles from San Diego to San Francisco, California.  Along the way they formed lifelong friendships, gained support and strength in dealing with their breast cancer experience, and raised vital funds for and awareness of breast cancer issues.

That first ride, called "Changing Gears", expanded in 2005 to become a global relay with 1,000 mile rides in the United Kingdom, United States and Australia.  This was my first experience of the power of a peer support adventure, and this year I'll once again be joining 20 intrepid women in a support group on wheels.

This year's ride will be run from the Thunder in the Glens rally in Aviemore (where I look forward to seeing everyone again) to London between 26th August and the 1st September and will raise money for Helen Rollason Heal Cancer Charity, and Amazon Heart Trust UK. Visit www.amazonheartthunder.org for more information on this very special event.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Helen Rollason Heal Cancer Charity will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
