Story

[To support the family, please go to: gofundme.com/ahmedyaslem]

A childhood friend, a neighbour and a bubbly young light for the whole community – our brother Ahmed, may Allaah have mercy on him, who passed away at a very young age of 27. Everyone in the community knew of him, he would smile and greet young and old, laugh and his presence would be felt. The eldest son with three younger brothers and one little sister, we pray the family is granted patience and ease.

I remember the last conversation having with Ahmed was about his aspiration to go and study abroad. We discussed plans on what to do but Allaah decided that Ahmed’s soul would travel from this world before that could happen. For his intentions we pray that he is eternally rewarded.

To benefit and support our beloved brother, we ask everyone to continuously make du’a (prayer) that Allaah raises his honour and forgives him with His infinite mercy. We also have the opportunity to further support Ahmed by donating towards causes in his name, causes that will allow him to reap the rewards of, so long as they last. Money raised here will go on towards charity projects chosen by the family.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:

“When a person dies, all his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, or beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who will pray for him.”
