Story
I am Ahmed Aziz from New Zealand and Pakistan.
During my childhood in Pakistan I have seen extreme poverty. Spending time in that environment gave me a feeling of being caged in despair. Children do not choose their circumstances. Adults around them create those circumstances. My goal in life is to endeavour to create better circumstances for the less fortunate children.
This is my motivation to participate in Trek for Kids with a select number of colleagues and help raise money for Save the Children projects.
I have been selected as one of 40 employees from 25 countries, spread across GSK’s business to climb the Peak of Ras Dashen - 15000 feet in the Simien Mountains (Ethiopia) to raise money for Save the Children.
For more information about our partnership with Save the Children please visit: https://www.trek-for-kids.com/partnership
Together we will raise £184,000 (or more) for Save the Children, which will be matched by GSK. Each and every pound goes to Save The Children
But my challenge begins now.
I must start fitness training and, most importantly, start fundraising.
Thank you for supporting me and Save the Children.
‘ When making your donation to my fundraising page you will be asked if you want to
cover the Just Giving admin fee along with your donation. GSK have
agreed to cover this admin fee so please choose the ‘no’ option when
promoted to paying the admin fee. 100% of your donation will go to Save the
Children. Thank you ‘
