Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am going to be participating in the Welsh 3,000 Challenge June 2024. The Challenge consists of climbing the 15 mountains in Wales with a height over 3,000 feet. Everything raised will be donated to the Vitiligo Society in memory of my late partner who also had vitiligo..

Vitiligo is a condition where pale patches develop on your skin. This is caused by the lack of melanin which is the pigment in skin. It appears commonly on the face, neck and hands and in skin creases.

There is no cure for the condition yet but my hope is, with more research, we can find ways of preventing, controling, minimising and accepting the condition.

This was a topic of conversation me and mike had many times so I want to do my utmost to help those with vitiligo in any way I can.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story and I hope you follow us on our adventures.
