We provide clean water & toilets to help lift people out of poverty.
Story
It all starts with clean water...
clean water, decent toilet and good hygiene are basic human rights. They should be a normal part of daily life for everyone, everywhere- but they aren't.
For this reason, our team Agua Vida is proud to be taking part in the WaterAid Winnovators challenge to solve real world water and sanitation problems for communities in need.
Our team has chosen to focus on Colombia. The indigenous Wayuu population in La Guajira is settled in scattered communities of families and clans, with an average population density of 100 people per square kilometre. Drinking water in this area is scarce and comes from multiple sources, such as shallow hand-dug wells and natural rainwater ponds.
Our task is to design a supply chain and marketing strategy for household water treatment within the Wayuu community, as well as to come up with safe and affordable storage techniques at home.
To achieve our mission and provide help for these people who very much need it, we need your support! Please donate whatever you can via the link below, any and all amounts would be appreciated!
