PAUL'S PLACE CHRISTMAS MONEY WALL 2022, 1 November 2022
We provide free one to one counselling to those bereaved by suicide

Story

Hard as it may be to believe, but Christmas Day is just over 8 weeks away! Yes, it’s that time of year when we once again promote our “Paul’s Place Christmas Money Wall”.

The purpose of this fundraiser is that instead of sending Christmas cards and/or exchanging gifts, you donate to Paul’s Place instead. It’s very easy to take part. You simply decide how much money you would normally spend (anything between £1 and £100) and donate that amount. You may want to donate individually or even as part of a larger family or workplace group. If you are able to Gift Aid your donations, that is a huge bonus. It means we receive an extra 25% of your donation, at no extra cost to you! Rest assured that every penny received is used to provide much needed specialist help and support to those bereaved by suicide, across the whole Merseyside area.
The Money Wall will be updated every 7 – 10 days. If we should manage to fill the whole board, then we will have raised a massive £5,050! This figure equates to the total cost of providing 101 specialist counselling sessions.

Since our launch 5 years ago and as we fully expected, the number of people accessing our unique, specialist FREE support service, grows year on year, which is hardly surprising as we are the only organisation offering this vital and lifesaving support across the whole Merseyside area – in fact this service is not being replicated anywhere else throughout the whole of the UK. However, we still receive no NHS or Government funding and remain reliant on donations, fundraising efforts and charitable grants.
