Story
Thanks to your incredible generosity and support last year I raised over £500, giving me an automatic entry for the Fred Whitton Challenge this year.
Until today I had been thinking about giving up my entry, because quite frankly the 10hr 45min and 27 seconds it took me last year was absolutely horrendous and having had 6 months off the bike I can't see that it's going to be any easier this time round (save for the fact we may actually get a decent breakfast and the weather could be a bit less torrential...but then it is the Lake District).
Then I saw some socks designed by Morvelo, designed in memory of their friend, displaying the words F**K CANCER on the back. I instantly knew I had to get some and I knew I had to do this event again.
Loosing my grandmother was one of the hardest things I have ever had to go through and I think of her every day.
I am so proud of my stepdad for beating this vile disease.
Cancer needs to be beaten, but until they find a cure we need to support charities like Macmillan who are able to support those with cancer and those affected by it.
I am cycling the Fred Whitton Challenge 2016 for my Nan, my stepdad, my family and all my friends that have lost their loved ones to cancer too.
