Last month, I was devastated to hear the news that Khadija-Noor from Pakistan, the little angel had left this physical world after a long journey in battling cancer.

At age of 4 Khadija was diagnosed with Leukaemia. After 3 -6 years of chemotherapy she had lost all of her hair and the ability of the cells for regrowth together with other side effects however the good news was that she was given the all clear from the cancer.  

Unfortunately, the cancer had returned and spread to her bone marrow. Over the past six months she has been in and out of hospital.  While searching for the best place for her treatment and how to raise funds for bone marrow transplant which would be able to save her life,  The little angel could not bear the pain anymore, the pain was far too excruciating. 

Her little body had no more ‘strength’ in it to ‘fight’ anymore. 

I couldn’t believe the news. I really had full faith and belief that we would find a way to save her once again. I was left feeling devastated and helpless. Hopes were all shattered and all I could do at this point was sit alone and cry, disappointed that I was not able to do anything to change her fate. 

A couple of weeks ago I came across the 'little princess trust' and my gut feeling guiding me to take action. 

As a women, hair is what makes us feel and look beautiful.  If I can personally be able to gift that beauty, confidence and self-esteem in another child's life who has had to experience the side effects of having cancer and undergo chemotherapy then I am grateful to God for giving me this opportunity to support others from the blessing he showered me with.
