Story
Myself and Greg Flynn will be riding unattended from our office in Lombard Street, London to Land's End. Our aim is to complete the mammoth 335 mile journey in just two days emulating something seen out of the Tour De France! There will be plenty of ups and downs on the journey...mostly ups when we get past Exeter!
We plan on setting off in the early hours Thursday 19th September and pray the weather will be kind to us on our two day jaunt. Thursday evening will see us pitch up roadside in a tent or other means of accommodation. We will tackle the hills of the South West on Friday and aim to finish in time for the long train back from Penzance.
We have both done some pretty ludicrous things in our lifetime but this will certainly be one of our toughest tests and we hope that you all can keep us going each and every mile with whatever donation you are able to make.
Greg, with his military history, will be raising money for the Not Forgotten Association, a Charity which works hard to put the fun, enthusiasm, energy and enjoyment back into the lives of those that have proudly served our country and are now suffering.
I will be raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society of which is doing all they can to transform the landscape of dementia. The charity is very close to my heart and I've seen first hand the suffering that Alzheimer's can cause. Until the Society find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
Any donations you can make to either charity would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks for visiting and reading our ambitious plan! Andy & Greg
