According to estimates from the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC), there were 14.1 million new cancer cases in Pakistan in 2012. Cancers like breast, lung, liver, head and neck carcinoma are most commonly diagnosed in Pakistan. Your donations help Shaukat Khanum Memorial Trust save many precious lives every year. 

This summer, I am volunteering at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Hospital for patients with cancer. The hospital relies on your generous donations to provide better care for patients through research facilities, diagnosis centers, and hospitals across Pakistan. As to date Shaukat Khanum has spent over Rs. 46 billion in providing state-of-the-art treatment facilities to cancer patients of the region.

Giving help has always been a cause close to my heart. Even a small amount donated with a prayer can make a significant difference. I am also going to be sending cancer patients encouragement cards and hand made gifts as a token of appreciation for their strength and perseverance and to show that there's always care and support in the world.
