Story

A massive earthquake has rocked Afghanistan’s eastern provinces of Paktika and Khost. Over 1,000 Muslims have died and many more have lost everything.

Ummah Welfare Trust has launched an urgent appeal to help survivors recover. The charity’s staff are already at the site of devastation, and delivering aid to mountain villages in helicopters.

‘Make haste in giving Sadaqah, for calamities cannot pass by it.’ [Tabarani]

Afghanistan’s Muslims have endured decades of war, crippling sanctions and repeated natural disasters. Allah is undoubtedly purifying and elevating these devout Muslims.

We, however, can also receive purification. By supporting these long-suffering Muslims with our wealth and our lives, we can secure Allah’s eternal forgiveness and reward inshaAllah.
