Story

I am taking part as part of ‘Kelly’s Heroes’ fundraising challenge for mental health charity, We Mind & Kelly Matters (WMKM)

Kicking off in New York, the team will cycle 3343 miles to San Francisco before finishing the ride on the Golden Gate Bridge on 10th October 2022; coinciding with World Mental Health Day.

We Mind & Kelly Matters was formed in 2019 after the devastating loss of Kelly Francesca Hewitt.

The initial aims were to raise much needed funds for mental health and bereavement charities such as MIND and SOBS, so that anyone affected by suicide would receive help and support.

Through the generosity of public donations at fundraising events, and the huge success of Kelly’s Heroes cycle ride in August 2020, from John O Groats to Lands’ End, in 18 short months, the charity raised in excess of £100,000, leading onto developing a longer-term plan in Kelly’s memory.

This has enabled us to launch their support services led by a newly appointed CEO.

I’d really appreciate if you could support this amazing charity with your donations, however big or small.

Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Unless you are affected or know someone struggling with Mental Health it’s difficult to understand. There is often still a stigma associated with it, leaving many to suffer in silence, our aim is to raise awareness and help to prevent suicide.
