Both my parents have had to battle cancer, one of them has done it successfully, on more than one occasion (I've seen him complain more when he has a cold!). Unfortunately the other was not able to win her battle but the support received from cancer charities and the local hospice was something that was absolutely invaluable to us. It’s hard to understand the full value of what these organisations do until you need them yourself.
