I DO NOT RUN - or I never have until I opted for this challenge! When I say never I have done one 10k about 4 years ago and that is it! I don't like running, I find it mind numbing; I've always preferred sports where you need to concentrate on something other than your body screaming at you just how much pains it's in!

The marathon seemed a proper challenge! I walked round Nepal, walked over Dartmoor with a box on my back but they were things that while challenging were really in my comfort zone this isn't!

So give generously! This will hurt me more than you and Whizz-Kidz is a great charity helping kids...

Did I mention in my first two months of training I've strained my calf twice. I feel a long road ahead.... Add to that another calf starin, knee that won't bend... I wish I was cycling it.....
