Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you know, I have recently started swimming and the gym to loose my many stones of extra weight. Yes, I was the one who ate all the pork pies!

Anyway I have taken to swimming and I am confident that I can complete the Aspire "Swim with Dave" challenge. This means over 12 weeks I need to swim 22 miles in my local pool.

From September 13th to 5th December.
In my local pool, 1mile = 50 lengths! Sounds a long, long way now!

*Edit*
On 13th September  I swam 76 lengths, that's 1.5 miles so far!
On 15th September  I swam 74 lengths, that's 3 miles so far!
On 20th September  I swam 76 lengths, that's 4.6 miles so far!
On 22nd September  I swam 76 lengths, that's 6.2 miles so far!
On 27th September  I swam 80 lengths, that's 7.9 miles so far!
On 29th September  I swam 70 lengths, that's 9.3 miles so far!
Had to have a 1 week break with work but came back to a great swim on 11th October with a 80 lengths bringing my total to 11 miles so far. I'm now half way! Yippee!
On 13th October I swam 80 lengths, that's 12.6 miles so far!
On 18th October I swam 82 lengths, that's 14.3 miles so far!
On 20th October I swam 82 lengths, that's 16 miles so far!
On 25th October I swam 82 lengths, that's 17.7 miles so far!
On 27th October I swam 80 lengths, that's 19.4 miles so far!
On 1st November I swam 86 lengths, that's 21.1 miles so far
On 3rd November I swam 80 lengths, that's 22.8 miles!! So thats it, I have swam the length of the channel!!
I'm so pleased with this, its amazing what you can do if you put your mind to it! Please continue sponsoring me as I can accept donations right until the official end of this event on 5th December.
