I DID IT:
Well i am suffering lots today, I managed to complete one of Britains toughest Marathons in a pretty good time might i add 4hrs 3min. The hills where longer than I had imagined, but knowing how much i had raised for Cancer Research made all the difference.
Please carry on sponsoring me even though the event has finished it still all goes to a very good cause.
I will be running one of the hardest marathon in Europe which takes me around Snowdonia, the hardest part of this marathon are the gradients, the initial 7 miles of the run take me from 300ft above sea level to 1100ft and back down again to 300ft. There are plenty more surprises on the way to the finish.
To support me I am asking friends, family, colleagues and anyone else generous enough to sponsor me and every penny I raise goes directly to Cancer Research.
Their work includes researching the biology and cause of cancer, developing cancer treatments, researching cancer prevention and improving the quality of life for those diagnosed with cancer.
A little about myself:
As some of you may be aware I undertook ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) replacement surgery on my knee early in December 2005, this involves taking a ligament graft from my Hamstring and then drilling two holes though my femur and tibia and screwing the new ligament in place. Since then I have made an awesome recovery and developed a real enthusiasm for running. I am currently in the process of training for this huge challenge.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
