Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As I'm sure most of you will be aware, Steve Radford has Bowel Cancer....there is no simple way of putting it......In typical Steve fashion, he has tried his best not to let it effect his life and for the past year he has got on with his treatment whilst maintaining his sense of humour and life style; most of us would struggle with his life style alone!  I think he will be the first person to admit that unquestionably his treatment is keeping him alive and to say thank-you to all those who have helped develop Bowel Cancer treatments, a group of us intend to raise money for Bowel Cancer UK by cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats. Whilst money raised is unlikely to help Steve, hopefully it will help raise awareness of Bowel Cancer and help develop further cures and treatments which, may even contribute to eradicating Bowel Cancer all together.

The group cycling is made up of Steve's brother (Ade), 2 nephews (Lewis and Callum) , his sister (Clare - support driver), and friends (Steve Isaac, Andy Jarvis, Martin Jakes, Chris Hall, Rik Kerr and Andy Delaney (support driver).  Most of which are linked to rugby clubs Steve has either played for or against during his rugby playing days.  These include Aretians RFC, Whitehall RFC, Yeovil RFC and LLantwit Major RFC. It is hoped that other will join this main group of riders for parts of the journey.

The ride itself will commence on 15 June at Lands End and hopefully finish on the 27th June....I say hopefully as some (most) of us are nearing 60 and well past our best and may need a few more days!

PLEASE PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY

Thanks
