Story
This is something I've been meaning to do for years and this year is the year. I've planned the route. I've got some friends coming along too. I've got spare inner tubes and a new bottom bracket on my bike. No more excuses. We're ready to roll!
It's not a major ride. Twenty miles through the undulating and beautiful countryside around Faversham. Ten churches to visit and ten cups of tea along with ten pieces of cake to consume. Now there's a challenge!
The charity we're supporting is the Friends of Kent Churches. It is dedicated to the preservation of churches in use of architectural merit or historic importance in Kent. It helps to maintain in good order their fabric and fixtures of special importance. The money we raise will be split equally between the Friends of Kent Churches and Davington Priory Church.
If you'd like to come along for the ride as well as sponsor, it would be great to see you. It's not a macho lycra clad event, more of a gentle ride around the countryside eating cake and drinking tea and maybe the odd pint.
